Charity Abseil with ABC for Marie Curie

Charity Abseil with ABC for Marie Curie
02/07/2010
A4e partners with Asian Business Connexions (ABC) for Charity Abseil - raising money for Marie Curie and Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids

Celebrations will be taking place on 4th July in Newcastle to mark the first birthday of Asian Business Connexions.  To mark the occasion an abseil from the roof top of MalMaison hotel will take place to help raise money for local charities.  This prestigious landmark will provide the ideal backdrop for a fun-filled day of family activities based around an “East meets West” theme.

The A4e Team are gearing up for the abseil

Asian Business Connexions was launched a year ago with the aim of connecting, supporting and promoting the Asian Business Community.  As a community interest company and through working with One North East, Business Link and Regional Local Authorities the organisation has already made a significant contribution to the North East’s economy and well-being.

A4e are thrilled to be supporting ABC with their birthday celebrations. Like ABC, we are a social purpose company that sits at the heart of the community, striving to help improve the lives of individuals and their families. We too feel proud to be supporting charities such as Marie Curie and Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids, as the work they do is fantastic and makes a real difference to people, their families and communities at large.

Many our staff here in A4e Newcastle are putting their fears to the test and taking a part in the abseil, they’re all pretty nervous but realise that they are doing it for a good cause. The staff who are taking part:

• Alison Nimmo & Tracy Ramage (Regional Managers)
• Adele McKinnon, Angela Easson, Hugh Ward (Business Managers)
• Barry Waller, Brett Hudspith, Hytham Hassan, Jilly Robinson (Recruiters); Steve Wright, Jackie Jarvis, Marcus Barnes, Ailsa Mitchell, Paul Cullen (Trainers)
• Business Development Manager, Mark Stamper.

We will start our Abseil at 11am and should have survived it by 12noon, after which time we'll have lunch followed by an opportunity to meet with the other sponsors and enjoy the days activities. It should be a really vibrant event for all the family including:  face painting, hand mendi, cultural displays, magician, jugglers, football competitions and lots more. So please take the time to come and join us on the 4th July, we look forward to seeing you there.
